2010 Village Fete

This year, for the first time, the Caston Village Fete was held at Greenwich Villa, at the very west end of the village.  With the temperature soaring into the upper 20's there was no complaint regarding the weather and visitors arrived in high numbers to enjoy all those fun games that makes an English fete so very special.  Games, bookstalls, ice creams, burgers - you name it and this fete had it.  The actual amount raised from the two hour afternoon was £3,080.  Thank you to everyone who came along to enjoy the afternoon and thank you all who were involved in organising and helping with the many stalls and of course thank you to everyone who donated not only their time but also all of the items that were for sale .

All in support of the Church of the Holy Cross and all organised by the fete committee at the home of Jane and Roy Horner.

88   89 94 .........and under starter's orders, the great cork race is about to begin.  Roy fires the gun (well, tips the bucket).... 90   and they're on their way.  In the lead is........... 91 .................number 107....... 92 but adjudicating at the finish line is Peter Chapman and when 107 gets caught up at Beechers Brook, the winner is.... 43 ....Number 89 93   Oh Gosh, that's me!! 95 Any of the images above may be purchased and all proceeds excluding Postage, Printing and Packaging will go to Church Funds.  That's approximately £5.00 to Church Funds for each image sold.  The prices are £5.00 for a high resolution digital file.  With this you can print your own and as many as you like.  For a printed 6 x 4 the cost is £7.50 which includes P & P or for an A4 £10.00 which again includes P & P.  All prints will come from a professional photo lab. To order please email brian@caston-online.co.uk with the image number (shown below each photo), the size required and the number of copies.  I'll then get back to you to confirm the amount and to make arrangements for payment.
