Village Fete Raises Record Amountby Bridget Hall - 21:26 on 06 July 2006What a glorious day! Saturday 3rd June proved to be a perfect day for our fete at Church Farm - beautiful sunshine and not too hot. Very many thanks to all those who came along and supported our annual event. Special thanks to Watton Silver Band for their musical interludes during the afternoon which was appreciated by many. Also a thankyou to Alex & Co entertainers - alias Alex Morley and his friends for two thrilling clown shows enjoyed by a packed audience on both occasions. Caston School provided an excellent performance of gymnastics with eighteen children participating. As many as sixty volunteers help during the afternoon which is very much appreciated by the organisers. A total profit of £2834.00 has been donated to the Church of the Holy Cross, Caston and goes toward the Parish Share - the result of a very rewarding and enjoyable afternoon. The fete in 2007 will be held on Saturday, 2nd June at Chase Farm, Caston - please do support us once again.
