Mains Sewage Ahead of Scheduleby Webmaster - 21:33 on 06 June 2006Mr John Chapman, Chairman of Caston Parish Council advised that he recently met with a representative from a firm of consultants to Anglian Water. He was told that installation of mains sewage should now commence within the next 6 to 9 months. Before this happens, however a meeting will take place in the village hall to which all residents will be invited. A full map will be displayed showing exactly which properties will be covered by the scheme and an Anglian Water representative will be on hand to answer questions. Residents will be able to be connected at a discounted price if they opt for connection as the sewer is laid but connection will be voluntary. Residents connecting at a later date will have to pay a higher non-discounted price. Residents opting not to connect but who later cause pollution could be forced to connect by Breckland Council and again will have to pay the non-discounted connection fee.
