Christmas Service of Carols and Readings

On Sunday evening December 21st Caston Parish Church, The Church of the Holy Cross, was packed with people of all ages from Caston and the surrounding community.  The Church was lit only by candlelight and the readings, interspersed by the singing of traditional carols, were made by children and adults from the laity.  The children's hand bell ringing group from Caston Primary School also played carols during the service.

The proceedings concluded with warm mince pies and mulled wine being served to the congregation. The event provided an excellent start to the Christmas time celebrations of Jesus' birth.
