The annual Christmas Fayre was held on Saturday 20th November in the Caston Village Hall. The event was very well supported and visitors were able to chance their luck on many interesting amusements, tom-bola and raffles. Stalls had a wide selection of Christmas decorations, cards and gifts and the home-made cake stall did a roaring trade. There was also a wide choice of items on the nearly new stall and the refreshments were kept very busy by thirsty visitors.
The fayre raised £1282 for the funds of the Church of the Holy Cross in Caston and the Rector Father Bob Nichols made a vote of thanks to all the many folk who had contributed to the event and particularly to Jane Horner and her husband Roy who had organised and managed the afternoon's proceedings.
