Our first Coffee Drop In morning took place this morning and was a great success. The hosts today were Stephanie & David Blincow and a fine job they did too. Soft music played in the background and the tables were adorned with table cloths and fresh flowers. Newspapers were available as well although it must be said that the visitors were so busy talking, they had little time for reading.
Everything from tea, fresh coffee, toasted buns, home-made cakes was priced at just 50p per item because the morning was not so much about raising funds, although the contributions were very welcome indeed, but more in order to bring people in the village together and on this count it more than achieved its aim.
As an addition, Steve and Kay Farnbrough brought along a selection of car cleaning polishes and other items which they offered at half price to anyone interested.
Overall, lots of people came along in support although sadly not too many mums and toddlers and they would all be very welcome indeed. We will be running it again next week so if you didn't make it this week then do come along next - we really need your support. If you did come along this week then do come along next week as we will have different hosts and that means different fare as well.
If you would care to host a Coffee Drop In, we would be delighted to add you to the rota - the more hosts we can get the better. Please call Stephanie on 01953 488 495
Do, please, come along and support us!!
(Proceeds from the refreshment sales go to the village hall fund and this week we raised £55.00 - thank you)
