Annual Meeting of the Parish of Caston
Caston Parish Council

On Monday 14th May 2007 the Annual Meeting of the Parish of Caston was held, and was reasonably well supported, issues raised were speeding and the degree to which the grass verges are encroaching onto the pavement areas and the roads, in Northacre some two feet of the width of the road has disappeared, I have contacted the police and Norfolk County Council Highways Department on these matters.

Reports were received from Mr J Chapman Chairman, Mrs J Horner on behalf of the PCC, Village Hall Committee and Caston Fuel Allotment Charity, the parish council accounts and Highways surveyors Land bank balances were circulated, Mr John Rogers gave his report on behalf of Norfolk County Council and Breckland district council. Should anyone wish to have a copy of any reports or accounts please contact me

First Time Sewage.
Mr J Chapman was able to confirm work on the sewage system will be starting in November 2007, there will be three pumping stations, one at Northacre, one at Coronation Terrace and one yet to be confirmed. All landowners who will be affected will be given three months notice, and there will be a public meeting in August/September for all parishioners to see plans and ask any questions they may have directly to representatives from Anglian Water.
