The eleventh hour of the eleventh month was again remembered by the residents of Caston and surrounding villages at the war memorial on Caston village green. A large number of folk attended and the names of the dead of both first and second world wars were read out. Silence was then observed and several wreaths were laid to remember the fallen including a wreath laid by two young ladies, Beth Childerhouse and Sphie Smith, representing Caston C of E Primary School. After the brief ceremony on the green the assembled people moved to the Church of the Holy Cross to share in a Remembrance Service.Caston and Surrounding Villages Remember the Fallen.
