Village Hall Appeal

The Red Lion pub has gone and the Post Office is about to go.  There are no shops left and now the Village Hall is falling into disrepair.  It will require either substantial money spent on it or it will require a new building.

The Village Hall Committee believe that a new building is the only real answer.  The present building is shabby and old fashioned and a new hall will bring some pride back to the village.  The hall is well used by a number of clubs on a regular basis and as a one off hire by folk within the village for private functions.

It is our intention to raise money now in order to get a rebuild just as soon as we can but few people will want to donate money and we understand that.  However here is a way in which you can contribute without it costing you anything at all.

If you are reading this then you must have internet access and if you have internet access then the chances are that from time to time you buy goods on line.  Shopping on line is becoming the fastest growing shopping medium in our age.  Sales are growing exponentially every year.

If you buy on line by clicking the village hall photo or on the Amazon ads on any one of the pages on this site or indeed on the photo above, the Village Hall Fund will be directly rewarded by commissions of anything from 1% to 12% depending on which retailer you buy from.  Everything here is transparent.  Who pays what can be found on the shopping site.  If you go through the Shopping site and use Amazon we get 1% but we've set up a direct deal with Amazon so that if you click the Amazon ad on any one of our pages we then get 5%.  Retailers will reward us for taking you to their site.  Money raised will all go to the building of a new hall and from time to time we'll tell you how much we've raised.
