Wayland Partnership
We were very pleased to meet Tracey Robertson the new Development Manger, who informed us that she will be involved in three main projects. Firstly, reconvening the Youth Focus Group, the intention is to get the young people involved, so if you have ideas, suggestion she will be happy to hear from you. Just go along to Wayland House in Watton. Secondly, the Wayland Well Being Group. As you know there has been a one day event in the past, next year it will be a whole week event. Lastly, Building Inclusion. This project aims to get people of all ages and from all walks of life together to share their experiences, and hopefully understand each other more. The parish still does not have a representative to attend bi-monthly meetings, at the partnership, at which many things are discussed and the opportunity to let the partnership know what the people of Caston need in respect of youth facilities etc, and also find out what funds are available for groups. There could be funding available for all types of groups, who are trying to get started, or are already running but need a bit of a boost. Should you wish to know more please contact Evelyn Batts, Clerk to the Council on 01953 488 668, or the Wayland Partnership, who will be very happy to explain what they do, and what part the parish representative plays.
