The Air Ambulance was called to Caston around lunchtime today when a Barhale employee apparently fell off a ladder and plunged some 4 metres into a pit.

A Fire Engine, two Police Cars and an Ambulance as well as the Air Ambulance all attended the accident which occured at the compound at the far end of Dukes Lane.

It's understood that the employee apart from shock may also have suffered a broken jaw.
